Our SolutionThe Business Strategy components are modeled using formal logic (a model known as an ‘ontology’). The ontology is framed around semantically primitive components of the things, events, activities etc. that go into a description of each of the sections in the BMC. These elements are reusable across a wide range of small and medium businesses, providing economies of scale. The ontology is populated with elements for a range of common business strategy components. Interfaces are developed for common accounting package (e.g. Intuit) and hosted online sales packages (e.g. Shopify). Further extensions enable supplier selection and interaction using Smart Contracts. Integration to existing data sources and internal databases may be offered on a bespoke basis on top of the basic service. |

How it WorksSmall and medium businesses are able to represent their current business model, in line with the BMC, using a palette of common business strategy components. Agile changes in business strategy (Pivots) may be tried out (on a what-if basis) and implemented. For example, changes to price versus volume, new customer segments, changes in customer delivery and communication channels, outsourcing or remote delivery of supplier and partner products and services. Where an aspect of the existing strategy is pivoted, the product may generate new business strategy documents, changes to common interfaces (accounting, sales channels) and so on. |
