Foundations

Foundational semantics from a range of non-financial domains e.g. geographical, time. Over time these are to be aligned with semantics in industry-led standards, as these mature.

Business Entities

Terms relating to business and legal entities, types of entity, hierarchies of ownership and control between entities. Includes terms needed for LEI

Securities Reference Terms

Terms found in securities reference data, that is terms which do not vary greatly over time (or which vary in response only to discrete corporate events).

Derivatives

Instruments which are themselves based on some underlying instrument or variable. Includes over the counter and exchange traded derivatives.

Loans

Terms relating to lending, both corporate and private. Includes underlying concept fundamentals such as credit facilities.

Market Data

Terms about securities or about the financial markets, which have a variable or time-dependent component. Includes prices, yields, analytics for securities, along with other time or date sensitive terms such as ratings and statuses.

Indices & Indicators

Terms which define interest rates, economic indices, trading indices and credit indices.

Funds

Collective Investment Vehicles or Funds. Includes terms about the fund entity, instruments which give the holder a stake in the fund, fund portfolio terms and terms around the entities involved in the fund.

Portfolios and Holdings

Terms about the portfolios, holdings or positions of a given entity, in the full range of assets which they may hold and which may be reported on.

Corporate Actions

Terms for events and actions, along with the relevant messages, for corporate events and corporate actions.

Payments

Terms for transactions and the payment and settlement aspect of transactions. This is future scope and is not yet described in full.
